The Context

Climate change not only affects the environment but also has a profound impact on mental health. Eco-anxiety is a rapidly growing problem, especially among young people. The Eco Wellness Recharge project focuses on a particularly vulnerable group: young people aged 16 to 25 with a migrant background.

For these young people, stress related to environmental concerns often adds to the challenges of integration and the trauma of displacement, making targeted support essential.

Expected Results

Map needs: Identify gaps in "eco-anxiety literacy" by engaging young migrants and youth workers to create programmes based on real data.
Create guidance resources: Develop the "Greenwell Resource Book", a practical and methodological handbook to support youth organisations in increasing understanding and management of eco-anxiety.
Train professionals: Improve the skills of youth workers through an international training curriculum and local seminars, so that they can offer informed and effective education.
Digitise learning: Develop the 'Greenwell' digital platform, an open and accessible online space that will contain interactive modules, quizzes and e-learning tools for climate resilience education.
